Q: How do I customize my slate sign?
A: Simply enter your custom text into the sign maker. You’ll see your design update in real time, so you know what it looks like before adding it to your cart.
Due to limitations in the sign-making software, your preview may not appear to fill the space perfectly — no worries. Every sigh is professionally formatted before production.
If you’d like extra peace of mind, we’re happy to send you a proof for approval before we make your sign.

Q: Can I see a proof before my order is made?
A: Our sign maker shows your design in real time as you add or remove options. If you’d like something outside what’s offered, or want extra reassurance, just ask us for a proof.
We’ll create a design, send it to you for approval, and make any requested changes. Your sign will not be made until you’re happy and approve the proof.
Q: Can I request a custom size or design?
A: We’re happy to help with special requests. Contact us before ordering, and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

Q: What are your slate signs made from?
A: Our signs are made from 500-million year old, Canadian slate stone, giving each piece a unique texture and edge. No two signs are exactly alike.

Q: Are the signs weatherproof?
A: Yes. Slate is naturally durable and suitable for outdoor use in Canadian weather.
We use the highest-quality paint available — the same type used on headstones. The manufacturer guarantees it won’t peel for 25+ years.
Slate won’t rust, corrode, fade, or rot like other sign materials. Even the included mounting screws are stainless steel.

Q: How long does it take to receive my order?
A: Most orders are produced within 1–2 business days, plus shipping time.
Custom slate house signs may take 7–10 business days to produce due to personalization. Including shipping, most customers receive their sign within 2–3 weeks of ordering.

Section 5: Slate Care & Maintenance
Q: How do I care for my slate sign?
A: Slate requires very little maintenance. We recommend occasional gentle cleaning with water and a soft cloth, as needed.
Section 6: Printing, Care & Durability
Q: How are your mugs and shirts printed?
A: Our mugs and performance shirts are printed using sublimation, a professional process where the ink is permanently bonded into the material rather than sitting on top of it.
This means the design won’t crack, peel, or fade like vinyl or surface-printed designs.
Q: Are your mugs dishwasher safe?
A: Yes. Our sublimated mugs are fully dishwasher safe and designed to withstand many, many wash cycles without fading.
The design becomes part of the mug coating itself — it won’t wear off with normal use.
Q: How should I wash and care for my shirts?
A: Our shirts are sublimated performance garments, meaning the ink is absorbed directly into the polyester fibers.
